Construction Pricing: The Details Phase



At the start of this phase, the developed design is finalized; everyone loves and understands how the floor plans work and what the renovation will look like.


This phase entails creating several documents that convey information and critical details that will be used in estimating the construction costs. Technical and engineering issues are resolved; building code requirements are complied to; site limitations and zoning restrictions are reviewed and complied to.


Typical construction pricing documents often include:

  • Floor plans
  • Foundation plans
  • Demolition plans
  • Framing plans
  • Roof plan
  • Elevations and sections
  • Electrical and lighting plans
  • Interior views
  • Special conditions and details
